In line with our continuous efforts to promote health and wellness among the insurance community and the society as a whole, QNB ALAHLI Life has proudly sponsored the T-shirt of the 5th edition of the Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE) marathon event for the second year in a row. The event which took place Friday 3rd May 2024 at El-Gezira Youth Center in Zamalek, was held under the slogan “Let’s run for a better health.”
Not only this, this year QNB ALAHLI Life leveled up its commitment towards promoting the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a good physical health through sponsoring the first Ahly & Zamalek football match of its kind to be organized by the IFE. The match, which lasted for almost an hour, featured key veteran players from both clubs.
From Al-Ahly Hadi Khashaba, Waleed Salah El Din, Hesham Hanafi, Mohamed Farouk, Mohamed Emara and Sherif Abdel Moneim.
From El-Zamalek Khaled El-Ghandour, Gamal Hamza, Tamer Abdel Hamid, Hesham Yakan, Ismail Youssef and Sami El Shesheni.
And Samir Osman was the match referee which ended in a 5-5 draw.
The Marathon witnessed a considerable turn out from the insurance sector, Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as the differently-abled.
Participants started engaging in some warm up and stretching activities to gear up for the day. Following that, the IFE Chairman, FRA Chairman & Ministry of Youth & Sports representative kick started the marathon run which took place all around the center.
In parallel, the differently-abled participated in adapted activities to enhance their physical and mental abilities and foster the sense of inclusion among the attendees. Other participants took part in the insurance companies contests which included a variety of physical activities and challenges.
Last but not least and as a token of appreciation for our unwavering support, the IFE awarded QNB ALAHLI Life two trophies which were received by our Managing Director Mr. Amr El Shemi.
